12 days...

We leave in 12 days and I couldn't be happier. As we were riding in the car tonight to take Andrew's kiddos back to their momma I was thinking about in 12 days I will be half way around the world, and in 2 weeks I will be holding my beautiful girls for the first time. Can there be any greater joy then holding your child for the first time?

God has blessed us so much in the last couple of days. We are approx. $10,000 from what we need to travel, but every time I look at our fsp I see God's hand at work. Even if it is just a few dollars that it moves it is still moving. I have no doubt that by the end of this week we will have what we need to travel, do I worry yes but do I doubt no. I know I know many of you are thinking aren't the two the same. In my mind NO! I have faith that God will provide do I worry that he will wait until the 11th hour yes lol and I say that because he has throughout this whole adoption. Each time we have needed money it has always come but it has come in the 11th hour.

So what is this blog post about? It is about asking you to please donate, to please help us bring home 2 beautiful little girls, to share our story, to please pray, and please share, and help us bring home 2 beautiful little girls!

Thank you all!!!

Prayers for a 4 yr old little boy and his family

I was asked today by a follower of our blog to please summon prayer warriors for a 4 year old little boy and she left me the link to her blog. I clicked on the link and it just broke my heart what I saw. A beautiful little boy got a hold of a lighter and caught himself and the couch on fire, if it hadn't been for his 2 year old little sister waking up their parents he would have died. You can read the story here on Catalina's blog. Please stop right now and pray for this precious little boy and his family!

2 weeks 2 days

We leave in exactly 2 weeks and 2 days and I can't tell you how excited I am. I am flooded with so many emotions right now. The last few weeks, and months have been full of ups and downs, not just in the adoption process but life in general.

I just have to tell you some of the things that has gone on lately and those things have taken my breathe away. If you have adopted or are anywhere in your adoption journey than you will know exactly what I am saying. There are many things and many emotions that goes along with adoption. There are times that you are flying higher than a kite, there are times that you are stressed to the max, there are times you cry until you can't breathe, and there are times that you sit back and go WOW! Over the last month it has been the WOW! Once you get your travel date you pretty much know it is crunch time on raising the last part of your finances. Needless to say we are freaking out!!! I have sent out several emails asking for prayer because I was freaking out! Immediately I had friends stepping up to help us out either financially or with their talents, and with prayers. My first friend was Mel and she did a blog post titled An announcement & A challenge and she is doing a give a way with her beautiful jewelry that she makes. Then it was my friend Pam who is offering her wonderful photography skills and giving a wonderful package away and you can see that post here, and last but not least was today... Courtney is a stateside worker for RR who helps families who are adopting with their process, and she herself has done 2 other adoptions bringing home 4 kiddos all together and they are leaving in a little under 2 weeks to bring home 1 possibly 2 more kiddos. Today I went to the yahoo group emails and was reading through the emails and would you like to know what I found??? :) I found an email from Courtney announcing a fundraiser for the Lanes. I read her email and I cried and then I read her blog and I bawled like a big baby, you can read that blog here. Back to her email though she is doing a give a way for us with a $100 Amazon gift card and you can get your chance for $5 for each entry. I emailed her to thank her and she emailed me back and said that God had been placing us on her heart lately. I know God does that with other people because people have been all of a sudden laid on my heart and left there for several days, but I didn't know that God done that with me/us lol. I can't thank each person who has helped us through our adoption, again whether it is financially, through words of encouragement, or through prayers, because they are all so important and prevalent to our adoption and to everyone else who is adopting.

I can't tell you all how much I love you all and how thankful I am to have each of you in my life whether I have known you forever or just recently met you, you will always have a place in my heart and my girls lives.

If you can help we are still asking for help because we still have A LOT of money left to raise and again we leave in 2 weeks. I'm not just asking for you to help financially I am asking you to please continue to pray and please share our give a ways and our story so that we can bring our girls home, and they will not have to live another day without the forever family that they so deserve, that every child deserves!

Leaving in T-Minus 4 weeks

We are leaving in a little under 4 weeks. We leave Feb 11th at 1:30 p.m. central time. I am so excited! I can't believe that it is so close. I would love to say that this post is going to be all sunshine and roses but it is not. Here is the deal we are quite a bit short on funds. We went into this adoption on Faith. God told us to do it and believe it or not we didn't question it we jumped in with both feet. Throughout the whole process we have run into paperwork issues where we had to redo tons of paperwork and paperwork is not free but God provided. Our homestudy fee came due and a check was in the mail to cover that. I-600 A came time to send that in and we made exactly enough at a fundraiser to send that in. God has showed up every time and has provided and I don't doubt that he will show up and provide this time. Now I say all of this because this is where I ask for your help... If you can donate please donate. It is 100% tax deductible...Pray that those that can donate will....And Share...Share our story on your facebook, blog, by email with your friends and family and if feel led share our story with strangers.

Those 3 things again are....
1. Donate (If you can of course)
2. Pray (Everyone can Pray)
3. Share (Everyone has ears to hear and eyes to see)

Thank you all so much! God Bless each and everyone of you!!!

No post

Sorry I haven't posted lately, my dad passed away on Sunday January 9th. I miss him so much! His visitation is tomorrow and funeral is Friday. I am so heartbroken! I know where he is but the selfish part of me wants him here so bad. I am hurt that he is never going to meet my daughters his granddaughters. He looked so forward to meeting them. In fact the Monday that we found out our travel date and he went in the hospital he said "Why don't you just hop on a plane and go get my granddaughters." He also told the emergency room nurse that he had to hurry up and get better because he had two beautiful granddaughters coming home, and he told her all about the adoption. So many emotions right now! I am going to cut this short but I just ask you to please be praying for us during this time.

We are also quite a bit short on our funds and I haven't had time to look into anymore fundraisers so please we are asking to please donate today and help us bring home two beautiful little girls! You can click here to make a tax deductible donation.

Thank you all for everything!

What has been going on since we got our date....

All through our journey we have hit bumps but we have overcome them all. I have heard many other adoptive families say that satan really attacked once they committed and I can attest to that because we have been attacked at almost every corner. Could he attack us more, could it be worse? Sure it could be, but my God is bigger!!! We got our travel date last Monday and I couldn't have been more excited, but wouldn't you know satan would be waiting around the corner to try to drag me down. My mom called me that afternoon and told me that my dad needed to go to the hospital, so I rushed over and we decided that it would be best for him to go by ambulance. After 6 hours at the hospital they decided to admit him. So for the past week we went back and forth to the hospital. The Dr came in on Sunday and said that he was going to release him on Monday pending that he felt ok. On Monday (yesterday) he was released and he came home. He is not his self and that really worries me. I am so scared, ultimately I know my dad is in God's hands but the selfish part of me wants my dad around forever and especially a lot longer than now.

Satan is also attacking my faith. We went into our adoption journey on faith. Every bit of money that we have received thus far has been because God has come through with some check that we didn't know we were going to get or through a blessing of someone giving us a gift. We are now at 5 weeks before we travel and we are still short about $13,000. Is that a lot yes, it is a lot for one person but it is not a lot for God and his army. We aren't asking for a huge donation but we are asking that if you can give please give. This goes to help bring home 2 beautiful little girls, and save them from the unthinkable! If you can/will give a donation you can make a tax deductible donation @ www.reecesrainbow.org/sponsorlane.html or you can make a direct donation to us by click here. Please also continue to pray for us and ecspecially the girls and every other family who is in the adoption process!

Thank you all so much!!!
